Take time to breath, see beautiful things and relax!
1.
Up the Creek Restaurant – sit high above Oak
Creek, by the windows. See the natural spring fed creek and its abundance of
wildlife and fish. Just 25 minutes South of Sedona just off 89A on Page Springs
Rd. You can miss it, its right at the 90 degree curve.
After lunch go just around the next bend in
Page Springs Road, park by the bridge and look for the trail that takes you
along the creeks edge. You can float down the river or walk the trail. Keep on going
on Page Springs Road to the Fish Hatchery and 3 different wineries.
2.
Eat at the Mesa Grill on Airport Rd at the top of
the road right at the airport. You can set inside or outside and watch the
small planes come and go. You can also do a helicopter tour from here.
Beautiful place to catch the sunset. There are some great hiking trails on the
way up to the airport. Check out the thousands of miles of great hiking trails
all over Arizona.

Check out 2 - Large Indian Ruins, Palatki Ruins
and Honanki Ruins just south of town off 89A, just look for the signs. About 30
to 40 minute drive on a dirt road. Your right next to Boynton Canyon when you
are in this area, it is an amazing Canyon. Check out all the beautiful State
Parks in the area, especially Dead Horse in Cottonwood.
4.
Visit the old silver mining town of Jerome, lots
of neat shops and restaurants. Continue on 89A south, go over Mingus Mountain, it’s
a gorgeous drive over the mountain to historic Prescott. Watch for wildlife,
especially on the other side of the mountain in Chino Valley, prong horn
antelope are everywhere on the prairies eating, it’s the largest herd in North
America, look for the white buts or you will never see them, they blend in with
the grasslands.
5.
Prescott was originally the capital of ARIZONA,
beautiful town square around the original state capital building. Cool old west
town with cowboys, tons of antique shops and homemade pies, check out the old
fashioned malt shop with burgers and fries like the 50’s, KENDALLS. If you like
ranch raised steak, try Murphy’s or hang out where the Earp’s and Doc Holiday
hung out at The Palace Saloon, originally built in the 1800’s. Something is
going on every weekend all summer in Prescott. On the 4th of July
weekend, visit the World’s oldest Rodeo, it is a real fun time.
6.
Verde Canyon Railroad in Clarkdale - ride the
train in the canyon, you can have lunch too.

Dolly’s Steamboat at Canyon Lake - southeast of
Phoenix-ride the double decker steamboat through the Canyon or go on an evening
dinner cruise. You may see eagles, mountain goats and many other desert
animals.
8.
Out of Africa Wildlife Park is amazing. There are
numerous shows and the African Safari is just like Africa. The ZIPLINE is a
blast too over the whole park.
9.
Take a train ride to the Grand Canyon, one of the
7 wonders of the World. You can also take a helicopter tour and see the Canyon
from the air or hike down or ride a donkey.

BEST TIP- Keep WATER and TOLIET PAPER with you at all times, it can come in mighty
handy way out in the desert!!!! Call me for great discounts on numerous attractions,
